Drone Aerial Photography
Over the past few years, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or, more commonly the drone has truly been a transcending device in photography and beyond. It gives us a different, unique perspective of the world, but the tools, accessories and techniques needed to capture the action are difficult to master and require a professional's specialization and capabilities.
UAV photography and videography can open the world up in new scales and dimensions ―especially for culture― since it allows images to be captured that might not be otherwise possible for human. For example, very often archaeological sites are in remote and hard-reaching areas. Archaeologists more and more often make use of drones to speed up the survey works and get pictures and videos of the archaeological sites which enables them to produce digital maps and 3D models.
Realiscape Typorama extensively uses drones to capture footage of monuments or to create their 3d models using aerial photogrammetry.
